Didn't Davis hire thousands and thousands of state workers?- (so many that according to radio station KFI's John and Ken- there wasn't enough office space for them) I haven't heard of any of them getting their pink slips.
How about the morons in the environmental agency that prevented the forrests from being cleared- with the result that 1/2 the state burned down? Are they still on the payroll Arnold? .
Among other things- these programs allow medically fragile children to be cared for in their homes, with their families, rather than being warehoused in a convalescent hospital. They also allow parents caring for developmentally delayed children to have a break- respite. Please, if you haven't been around people with disabilities, you have NO IDEA how much it takes to look after them.
The point I'm trying to make is that there are alot of other places cuts could/should be made- before we get to the disabled. How about the prisons? Do the prisoners have to have cable and weight rooms? Or do we take the sick child away from her family and stick her in a convalescent hospital (that is likely as not understaffed )so Joe mass-murderer can have his entertainment?
How about "sensitivity" programs? Davis must have put alot of those in. How about all the "multi-cultural" programs in the schools? Sure the kiddies might not learn about some other culture, but a sick child won't have to pay the price by being taken away from his /her family. (and the teachers might actually have to teach the students how to read/write and do arithmetic)
This is awful-what he is proposing. It does hurt "the children" and the sickest/weakest children at that.

This is exactly my point!!! You said it better than I could. Thanks.
