There are still stations out there calling themselves "11 Alive"? I thought that went out around the same time Walter Mondale did.

Newnan's southwest of the city by about 25 miles; nothing has broken in on WGCL (CBS 46) yet.

We're in Peachtree City, not far from the site. The weather here is horrible, with near-freezing rain and low visibility. Planes were delayed for hours today coming into the nearby Atlanta airport.

They just scrolled at the bottom of the screen that a wide debris field has been reported. Newnan is near the Alabama/Georgia line southwest of Atlanta.

It's actually not very far from Hartsfield International Airport. Maybe a half hour away driving.

Local Atlanta media is about the worst in the country when it comes to overhype, cheese, and sensationalism(which is saying something). Unbelievably pathetic and annoying.
