[history]
Sandra Jolly said her 6-year-old son's Christmas was spoiled when his teacher told the first-grade class Monday that "Santa Claus is make-believe."
"He had this sad, lost puppy dog look on his face. This unhappy, empty look," Jolly said. "He said his teacher informed the entire class that Santa is make-believe."

tsk, tsk, tsk...name calling AND projection, all encapsulated in one tiny sentence ? WOW...that's a record for FR! LOL
Go read what you wrote, which I responded to, or get someone to read it to you and explain it all to you. Obviously, you are incapable of understanding what it is that you write. You are writing these posts, aren't you ? Or is it that someone is typing it all for you ? ;^)

Thanks and I miss her too!
I wasn't even going to be here tonight, but thought I'd pop in for a minute or two and got " involved ". LOL
To: onyx; Tamsey; Howlin; All
Thanks again for another way to while away the minutes in such a rewarding way.
If this is what it means to be unrealistic or liers or whatever, put me at the top of the list!
Goodnight Ladies, gentlemen, oh, and you too FLAMING BREATH! (or whatever your ego-fancied name is)

Oh ETOM, he cut his throat many posts earlier, even prior to my coming to this thread. He's dead, he just doesn't realize it, as his virtual wounds ooze out the last bits of his blood.
sniker, sniker

Got involved? You? I'll say! :)
I must call it a night. It's been fun, I think. :)

I am not equating the two, Einstein.
I am saying that just like sin causes pleasure and happiness, yet is wrong, you can't automatically assume that lying to your kids because it makes them happy is right either.
Maybe it is, but I don't believe so.
No I don't have any children, I am 20 for crying out loud.

Pleasant dreams and thank you, oh so much, for sharing this thread with us, the poor victims and liars and mental children and morons and whatever other garbage has been vomited up at us, by the Cromwellian killjoys here.
Oh yes, and an early MERRY CHRISTMAS to you.
To: onyx
LOL...yes, " hooked " on getting back at the rabble, more like.
It's been fun, but I'd best be off myself. It's later here, than it is there. :-)
To: nopardons
How nice; I guess you can't offer any actual arguments.
Having fun with kids (when I get them, as Howlin pointed out)... "do not let them look down upon you for your youth"...check it out in the Bible.....while not lying to them....makes me a hypocrite?

"...was reading a story about the Tooth Fairy when the class started discussing what was real and what was not..."
Hey, I saw that movie "Darkness Falls!" I know the tooth fairy is real, and she almost got me one night. Well, actually it was a bouquet of birthday balloons in my bedroom, and when the air came on through the central heat/air system, they began flapping like crazy, it was dark, and I swear! - it sounded just like that evil tooth fairy and scared me almost to death! Until I remembered the balloons in the room... But seriously (although that was pretty serious at the time!), Santa Claus ISN'T real, but it's up to the kids to find out on their own (or from their parents), not some Scrooge teacher or religious zealot to inform them. Most of them already know it by age 6 or 7, but they go along because they like and want the goodies and are afraid they might "dry up" if they admit they don't believe.
