Just returned from the Kerry/Al Franken event in New York City!!
About 150 people attended this event which was held at a private residence in the Tribeca section of Manhattan. Needless to say, the event was a great success! Al Franken gave a great (and hilarious) speech before introducing Kerry who gave a very inspirational speech and wowed the crowd! Kerry's stump speech was on foreign policy and the economy. Kerry used the "bring it on" line like he did in Iowa. He brought the house down when he said that next November, when he defeats George W Bush and sends him back to Texas, we can all say "mission accomplished"!!! The crowd went nuts!
Congressman Ford was also in attendance and spoke very eloquently about his support for Kerry. Congressman Ford is a true gentleman and was very popular with the young ladies in attendance (but thats another story). Actor Richard Belzer was also in attendance but did not speak (he just mingled).
Thanks to the folks at KerryCore as well as the Finance department at the NY campaign office who put this event together. It was awesome!!!

He brought the house down when he said that next November, when he defeats George W Bush and sends him back to TexasLurch needs to worry about winning his own home state in the 'Rat prmaries, before making any long-range plans involving Dubya in '04. :)

maroon? His mood ring is probably gone to black by now. He's almost in 3rd place in the NH primary. Imagine his explanation for losing out to Hatred Powered Howard AND The Barracks Emporer.

Is it just me, or does this thing make it sound like a poorly run SF convention? "Yeah, Shatner was there, and he was REALLY KEWL! He did all the old lines that we all like, n' stuff. Me and Billy really liked it! He ROCKZ!"
So glad we got these children out of the White House.

... winning his own home stateThat's right dude! I'm from MA and I'll be giving my primary vote to Dean. If Kerry loses MA, he'll be in the same political ash heap as his 'mentor'... the diminutive M. Stanley Dukakis!
