Anti-Bush webloggers purposefully thwarting Google

Google, the world's largest search engine, is being deliberately thwarted by an orchestrated campaign of Bush hating bloggers.
Google operates on a set of established algorithms, which rank pages on how other web pages refer to it via links, which is why this juvenile campaign has worked to the point where you can type "Miserable Failure" in, hit "I Feel Lucky" and go to the White House Biography of President Bush.
A new low surely, but sadly this campaign season, not unexpected.
I would suggest letting Google know that its search engine is being deliberately manipulated by those who must daily figure out new ways to focus their hatred.
TOPICS: Extended News; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: bushhaters; google; presidentbush; weblog

I would suggest that you leave anybody who would type "miserable failure" into a search engine to their own devices.

The Bush team should update the Bush bio page with a reference ridiculing Daschle's and Gephardt's "miserable failure" line.
Something along the lines of:
There are some who claim this administration has been a miserable failure. Here are some of the accomplishments that out-of-touch liberals consider a miserable failure:
- 2 tax cuts for all taxpayer American families.
- Successful execution of the war on terrorism on two fronts that have taken the war to the terrorists and prevented further terroist acts on our soil.
- Passage of the a prescription drug plan and meaningful medicare reform.
- etc.

Type in "Stupid Democrat" (quotes included) and hit "I Feel Lucky," and see where it takes you.

It still does not explain why Freerepublic has become 209.157.64.200 on Google. All links to posts and articles are leading with the number and the Freerepublic website name has virtually been eliminated.
One can only assume that this is an attempt to change the number of hits to Freerepublic and transfer the totals to
the numbered website.
Any ideas Jim or John?

Much of this started as a joke. Type in "French military victories" and choose "I feel lucky."

Here's to hoping that a deal can be worked out between Google and FR so that google can index the pages and we'll have a much better search feature. Not that I'm saying anything bad about FR or Jim, search is pretty hard to do well.
Or somehow get
gmane.org to index the site like a mailing list so I can use a Usenet browser to read posts.

another reason why the pending Google IPO is the most foolish waste of money even the stupidest investor might ever consider.

Why criticize or discourage Bush haters from spending copious amounts of time in such trivial pursuits? Rather, we should be encouraging them in their irrelevancies.

Don't over look the possible political Bias of those that Own Google.
If you use google news regularly, it never fails that anti-Bush editorials are listed -- on top -- under "top stories". In fact the "top news" has FAR too many editorials included...and if it's the NYTs, it ALWAYS prominent!
They may not have a person select the news that shows up, but they DO select the algorithms that select the news that shows up.

Exactly! Google does let politics enter into their business - one example being their 'policy' not to permit legitimate gun dealers to post ads...
