[history]
Recently, several memos drafted by Senate Democrats have been leaked to the press. One memo, from the Intelligence Committee, exposes a Democrat plan to use the awesome power and resources of that committee as a political weapon against the president. The other memos detail how powerful left-wing lobbyists pressured Democrats to impermissibly oppose judicial nominations based on race and gender. Now the Democrats are outraged

Nicely done. The arrogance of the Rats blinds them to their violations of law. Somebody should refer this to the DOJ...

There was a similar article on Opinion Journal on Monday, that said that both Hatch and Frist declined to pursue the Democrat memos before Thanksgiving because they did not want to detract or distract from the passage of the medi-care or energy bill legislation.
The Opinion Journal also mentioned that the Democrat investigation has cost $500,000 and that the Democrats know that it is a waste of money because the computer system was set up under Leahy and uses the same data base for both Republicans and Democrats with no fire wall. Stupid is as stupid does.

The problem with Hatch is that he now identifies with the Senate as a body and not his party or constituancy. He is more interested in protecting the "August Body" and its prestiege and perks than the constitution.

This is excellent.

Editorial in the Washington Times by our very own Freeper, JMStein7 ! Way to go Jonathan ! Legal memo to the Democrats
Excerpt:
Recently, several memos drafted by Senate Democrats have been leaked to the press. One memo, from the Intelligence Committee, exposes a Democrat plan to use the awesome power and resources of that committee as a political weapon against the president. The other memos detail how powerful left-wing lobbyists pressured Democrats to impermissibly oppose judicial nominations based on race and gender. Now the Democrats are outraged because they got caught. Senate Democrats have demanded a probe into these leaks; their request has been granted by detrimentally congenial Republicans. The investigation notwithstanding, if the leakers are dismissed, they may have actionable claims against the government.
