If it is targeted at Catholics then it should not misuse the term "Immaculate Conception" It is a common error among non-Catholics rto confuse the Immaculate Conception--the conveption of Mary--with the Virgin Birth. So it is not only blasphemous, it is ignorant, and it is shameful.

Transubstantiation must also give the PETA-philes fits!

Yeah I can imagine how they might use that on a billboard.

Excellent choice by PETA, a billboard that both reminds me to eat more chicken and to despise them all the more.

You are on it! I'm Catholic and I'm deeply offended by this vile display.

PETA can go to:

"Transubstantiation must also give the PETA-philes fits!"

Not really. Peta's main sacrament is a tofu burger, which is a pale nebulous shadow ritual that makes me laugh. Peta understands transubstantiation but has yet to pull it off.

(Sarcastically) How about a menorah illustrated with 8 dead chickens? How about the "10 Commandments" tablets zoomed in just to show the words "Thou Shall Not Kill"?

Rather than spray painting on this billboard, someone needs to construct a papermache cow like those on the Chik-Fill-Et billboards...

And maybe dress the cow in a burqua since there is an antiChristian message on this billboard (it makes a mockery of the Savior's birth). If not a burqua then a pentagram wearing headbanging "pagan" cow.

Actually, I wasn't joking. I just don't see it in the same light as you do.

I didn't equate the chicken with Jesus. Nor did I think that it depicted a chicken as equally valuable as a human baby. And I didn't see it as mocking Mary.

I guess it all has to do with perspective.

I will tell you something that offends me to no end and is so common that it can hardly be avioded even if you try as hard as you can. That is people constantly using God's name in vain.

it is so cool now to be anti-Catholic, very acceptable

This is quite true. But I think the Catholic church has brought this on themselves in no small part.

The world has always been against Christianity so in that I see nothing new.

The best I can hope to do is try and follow the teachings of Christ and to be a light in this world.

I always remind myself that this world is not my home and that God will not be mocked.

Well, I'm not Catholic, but I find the ad very offensive.
It trivializes the religion...I can't think of a different way to say it, but I hope you know what I mean. I have to go by the decription of the ad, because I am visually impaired--So, if I sound a little vague, it's beacuse I'm going off the concept.

I also feel that it would not be tolerated, if it depicted
scenes, or figures, of a religion, other than Christianity.
People would be more outraged, as some of you have pointed out.
