What a hypocrite! Typical Clinton behavior.

President Bush served the troops. Her Highness had the troops serve her. Yup.

Sen. Hillary Clinton forced U.S. troops stationed at Bagram air base in Afghanistan to wait for their Thanksgiving dinner last Thursday, while she and her entourage arrived late, then cut in line and were served first........ And in contrast to this, the President got behind the chow line and served dinner to the troopies, and they loved him for his simple yet eloquent gesture... this whole thing just has me smiling every time I think about it!

Her face alone sent most to the latrine with dry heaves. Lucky that most hadn't eaten yet.

I agree with you -- it is like she has no political savvy at all -- everything backfires. Suits me fine. I want her to keep this up and if the "mainstream" media wasn't so biased in favor of the clintons, it would be reported all over the world. Thanks to the Internet is is making its way around.

Absolutely out of touch!
Any commander worth his salt won't even think of eating until all his troops are served.
GW Bush did NOT eat at all. He SERVED!!
And that's exactly what the commanders were taught in the neck of the woods I came from.

I'm frankly stunned that she (or her handlers) didn't anticipate the PR value of this type of endeavor, and attempt it on her own (independently of the President's object-lesson). Granted, she would have lacked the sincerity of Bush - but when has sincerity ever been an obstacle for her?

Did you see Geraldo report in Afghanistsan while Hillary was there? It was quite funny. He said that the soldiers were reasonably (emphasis on the reasonably) glad to see the senator, but that they were even happier to get their dinner. He seemed to be trying to convey a message without getting too explicit. TV worth watching.

Troops were held up so long because the military had problems finding 6 troops that wanted to eat with the Senator. It took them over an hour just to find 6. Our troops are very aware of the Clinton legacy. I am just sorry they had to be put through this for another Clinton criminal.

"Let them eat cake Hilary". She is so greedy. Greedy for food, greedy for power, more me now.
President Bush did not even eat while he was in Iraq. He served. Hilary, on the other hand, would not know how to interact with the little people she detests and considers herself better than, so she must be doing something in order to be around them. And eating is her favorite thing.
Everything she did while over there was forced and planned. There were no spontaneous moments of interaction with the troops. It was all question and answer and tours.

Apparently Queen Hillary is a few cuts above those who put their necks on the line every day defending her right to bitch about our president.

Never has any "female" gone so far to grab the top rung of power like this one obviously wants...I think daily prayer against her will be our most powerful response to anything the she-devil attempts!

I agree with you -- it is like she has no political savvy at all --All self-appointed elites are heavy-handed in dealing out directions.
Whether it's politburo members in the Soviet Union or Democrat Senators from New York, they know what is best for the "little folks"!

Why?
NEWSMAX -- New York Sen. Hillary Clinton forced U.S. troops stationed at Bagram air base in Afghanistan to wait for their Thanksgiving dinner last Thursday, while she and her entourage arrived late, then cut in line and were served first.
A soldier who witnessed the scene tells NewsMax:
"Thanksgiving Dinner started at 3 p.m. that day, so the line was forming around 2:30 p.m. She didn't show up until around 3:30 p.m.
"Once she got there," our source maintains, "Clinton and her entourage bumped everyone in line, forcing them to wait almost an extra hour."
The brass at Bagram apparently had a hard time rounding up New Yorkers who wanted to have dinner with Mrs. Clinton. Only six G.I.'s responded to an email sent out last week that stated, "Looking for military members from New York and Rhode Island interested in meeting their Senator/Congressman."
People Magazine was on hand to cover the event and wanted to interview the troops for reaction to Mrs. Clinton's visit.
"But they were getting declined left and right," our source said. "People were actually telling the reporters 'You don't want to print what I think about her and her visit.'"
After Clinton and her entourage departed, the only topics G.I.s wanted to talk about were "how great the food was and how fantastic they thought George Bush's visit to Iraq was."

Bubbly cider - pretty good stuff for those not disposed toward adult beverages. On the Hillary line-jumping - herself was not taught humility (one of my greater traits, by the way) during her formative years. It's just good manners for leaders not to take advantage of their positions of authority. Used to be OK, though (and expected), 'til the late sixties. A sign of class egalitarianism?
