NEW YORK (AP) -- A body was found inside United Nations headquarters on Monday, a U.N. spokesman said. U.N. security and the New York police department are investigating the matter. The U.N. spokesman said the person had been shot, and that the body was discovered inside the building's third-floor lounge at about 11:30 a.m. He declined to give any details on the deceased person pending notification of the family.
The spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the world body considered the shooting an "isolated incident."

The spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the world body considered the shooting an "isolated incident." That's what they aaaaaaaaaaaaalways say in the beginning of the movie, before Michael Meyers gets them all.

The spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the world body considered the shooting an "isolated incident." Nothing to see here. Just a retroactive abortion. Move along now.

Did Roger O. Thornhill stab Lester Townsend (of UNIPO)? Did he get away in Laura's Mercedes? Are his eyes allergic to questions? What direction did he take?

I'm sure the 'crack' UN CSI is already on it.

It was Roger Thornhill!

If this occured in the UN parking garage, it would sound oddly familiar to the plot of the movie
U.S. Marshals.

How do you distinguish a dead body from any other UN employee?
To: Semper Paratus
Isn't the UN a gun-free zone? How'd anyone get a gun in the building in the first place?
After all, they're all about peace...
To: HAL9000
Aren't those diplomatic pouches nice. You can get guns past security. Wasn't it Kofi Annan that reduced the security procedures at the UN recently in defiance of US pronouncements?

world body considered the shooting an "isolated incident." Translation: "Don't worry. It's not like it happens around here all the time."
