I wonder if these teachers know that in many Mulsim nations, girls are even allowed to go to schools.

Wait, wait, wait, wait: the Supreme Court of the United States will soon consider a case on whether some clown's daughter may hear the name "God" during the recitation at school of the Pledge of Allegiance, and this public school without question shoves down the throats of these students the practice of another religion?

See, there's two parts to that there Freedom of Religion thing in the Constitution: there's an establishment clause and another in which the free exercise of religion may not be prohibited.

Time to stop the alternate universe view of this language and get things right again.

According to ASSIST News Service, students must learn to pray "in the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful," and they must chant, "Praise to Allah, Lord of Creation." For nearly a month, young and vulnerable minds are saturated with a curriculum of Arabic phrases, Koran verses, and proverbs.

If this is true, it's a f#@king outrage. Nothing less than the self enforced dhimmitude.

If these kids want to learn about Islam, serve up some of the articles from places like this for discussion.

It's time to quit whitewashing over Islam and the Quran.

In many California schools, middle school students are required to take a three-week course in which students adopt a Muslim name, wear a robe, learn the fundamental tenets of Islam, and stage their own Jihad.

According to sha'ariah law, reciting of the shihadah (Islamic declaration of faith) automatically converts one to Islam. No backing out later, they are all little Muslims now.

What is going on in America ?

Send those school officials to Iran, Syria or other muslim country and ask them to tell us their experiences. And they will learn how tolerant muslims are. Better idea, let them stay over there.

Two Arab men are chatting. One of them has his wallet out and is flipping through pictures. Proudly, he pulls two out to show his friend. "This is my oldest son. He's a martyr. And here is my second son. He's a martyr, too."

There's a pause, and the second Arab says wistfully, "Ah, they blow up so fast, don't they?

See, there's two parts to that there Freedom of Religion thing in the Constitution: there's an establishment clause and another in which the free exercise of religion may not be prohibited.

Problem is they are using the free part to establish Islam, and the and the establishment part to establish that Christianity must go.

Not that there are a lot of Moslem infiltrators in Public Schools, I am sure it was just by accident they chose Islam, right?

I'm sure there will be a unit in which kids go to Confession and receive Baptism in the near future. And, for spice, the teacher will explain why God thinks homosexuality is an abomination. And it will be done in a positive, affirming manner, because we don't want the Christian children to feel that their religion is being criticized.

It's educational, kids!

In the last couple of years, the Saudi's have been funding Islamic private school in the South of Thailand. The regular, government schools begin the day with a Buddhist chant which is intolerable to the Muslims, of course.

At the time of the establishment of the radical Islamic schools, the Islamic fundamentalist movement to break away the southern most five provinces of Thailand to either join with Malaysia or form an Islamic state was at a low point after the conflicts of the 1990's. There were some 2 to 3 hundred armed radicals. Now, thanks in large measure to these "educational" institutions, there are some 3,000 armed radicals. You also have police and teachers in the public schools being murdered, temples and police stations being bombed, and JI militants using the areas to plan attacks in Indonesia, Singapore, etc. Hambali hid out for well over a year until the government started taking the Islamic threat seriously. It is a little hard to get teachers who are not Muslim to work in the south as well.

Ah, the blessings of an Islamic education. Peace be unto you.

In the months after September 11, Islamic education became a popular trend in schools

Get attacked by Muslims, teach Islamic education in the schools of the attacked country.

Can you imagine any other sane country doing this?

If I had a kid I'd have him go to school w/ a ham sandwich, and have him eat it in class.

The NEA website includes recommendations that schools and teachers "invite speakers and show videos on the Arab world

Well, not ALL aspects of the Arab world. Their dictatorship tendencies, treatment of women, gays, and Jews, and all those fabulous things will somehow be left out of the teachers' lesson plans, I'm sure.

I am going to walk around this month saying Merry Christmas to all while I set up my holy manger (sorry for the spelling)

and I think our schools and work place should discuss the birth of christ

I won't hold my breath while the ACLU rushes in to sue to prohibit government sanctioned religion.
