As you said, it seemed entirely believable and we'll probably get to that point someday. But for now, there are other battles and I'm glad we don't have to fight them on this one.
Thanks for all you do on this thread, Texokie! You are one of the best Freepers I know and your lovely prayers are helping our soldiers and their families. God bless you.

Thanks so much for your more than generous comments. It is a joy to be able to pray for our troops, a joy which I know you and all of the Prayer Warriors share.
I'm relieved as well that we have at least one less fight with the ACLU! That is very well stated, Peach! LOL!

That's OK. They probably would want to do it, and pre-emptive prayer is a GOOD thing, despite what Kerry thinks.

I wouldn't put it past them - they're probably just biding their time. You're right though, nothing wrong with a little Pre-emptive prayer. Let's head them off at the pass. LOL

Thanks, AG. Glory to God...the mistakes are mine! ;-)

Is there a new thread, or have the comments just slowed down? I KNOW we are continuing to pray for our Troops!!

We've slowed down. We plan to start a new thread soon....thanks for the nudge! Hard to believe it's almost been a year since we started our efforts together!
In the meantime, all are invited to post prayers, meditations, thoughts, comments, etc which are relevant. All are welcome to post their spiritual support here for our troops any time the Spirit moves!

Hey gal, no need for YOU to blush, you have kept this thread alive!! You've put a tremendous amount of effort into replying to everyone, over and over.
This bump will get it up in my comments so I can check in. We all run out of steam from time to time, but as I said, I know we are all still praying, and that's what counts.

Morning to all.
May I add JustPiper to the prayer thread?
She needs extra prayers this week.

Beloved Heavenly Father,
We are pleased to add to our prayer list one of our own, JustPiper. We understand she can use a little extra prayer support this week.
We ask that you will look into her life and give her a special boost of protection, guidance, wisdom, and love in the coming days.
We thank you for her service and for the service of all who have placed themselves at the disposal of this nation's defense. Grant all our troops and those who serve in any capacity a special gift of support this week and in the days to come, according to the need of the hour.
We call for the strengthening and renewal of all prayer blankets we have sent out. We call for the protection of these, our loved ones who are struggling on the line of darkness and light where darkness meets light and the light swallows up that darkness. It is a frightening and awesome place to be. Help them hold strong in that light, Father, for they are our brothers and sisters, and they act in our behalf.
Father, we thank you for hearing us and for interceding in the affairs of Mankind according to your Will and Timing.
Amen

Thank you for your generous words, potlatch. You always know a kind thing to say.
Yes, indeed, I have great trust that all our prayer warriors are in their prayer closets doing the real work of supporting our troops before the Lord. However, it is useful to gather together from time to time to focus our efforts! It is such a joy to share in the Lord's love with all who gather here.
