Thank you for your kind words in your post 120, boxerblues. I join you in gratitude for the prayers offered for our troops and their allies and support personnel by the Prayer Warriors both here on the forum and across the land in many places of worship. I agree with you that the prayers are a very critical part of the equation of Victory for this war. I agree that by the grace of God hearing his Children calling for angelic intercession for their brothers and sisters in battle, much mitigation and protection can be granted them.

A prayer of thanksgiving for those who have returned safely to their families and an extra heartfelt prayer for those on combat duty.

I have been somewhat AWOL in my replies lately.

You do a fantastic job of replying to every poster here. God bless you for all your work! And I, though not 'here' for days at a time, am praying every day for our troops.

PRAYER WARRIOR FIELD TRIP!

I invite and urge everyone to check out the Joe Galloway thread posted by Aloha Ronnie. It is about the efforts being made to assure that our injured vets are remembered and cared for. It has come to our attention that the Red Cross has fallen down somewhat on the job, and FReepers are filling in the breech making sure that our guys are visited and given phone cards and other needful things. Our Prayer Warrior TruthNTegrity has been giving us reports on some of her visits.

In the course of the thread, it was reported that one of our Prayer Warriors, patriciaruth has had surgery (post 242). I do not know any details.

Merciful Heavenly FAther,

We are grateful for the service of the FReepers among us who have made it a priority to hold vigil for and minister to our troops. We especially call forth your assistance in the phone card delivery project which TNT and the DC Freeper chapter is currently involved in. Protect from any and all harm and opposition the ones who are doing this work. Clear the way for them and let them be unimpeded in their mission to convey to our special troops hospitalized there in DC that they ARE cared for and NOT FORGOTTEN by their countrymen.

Father, we are placing upon the altar our own patriciaruth who has been steadfast in her efforts to pray for our troops. Please enfold her with your healing light and mercy during her recovery. Let all medications, pain therapies, antibiotics, and other treatments be 100% effective. Heal her so that she may regain her strength and can once more complete the many assignments and projects which you have for her.

Father, we do pray for each and every young person who has received injuries while wearing our nation's uniform. Heal them, encourage them, and grant them hope, Vision, and strength. Grant them true joy and true peace.

We are grateful, Father for these who have stood on the line and those who are yet standing. We have said before and we say again, these are our greatest treasure. Our debt is immense, and yet, because they love us, they have done this. Let us, Father, never forget their sacrifice. Instruct and guide us into tasks and actions which will show them our appreciation. We cannot begin to pay the debt, but we do wish to defray their costs as much as we can.

We are mindful of the family and loved ones of this group of people who have sacrificed their perfect health. Grant these loved ones courage, strength, patience, and exceptional wisdom and insight while they hold the hands of their injured heroes. Let them all be made whole, despite any apparent physical defect there might be. Let their spirits remain strong and completely intact.

We place all of this before your throne and petition you for your mercy, and compassion. We are grateful for your loving care, and we ask that you will reach each one of your Children who may not be able to feel your closeness to them. Let the hands of our visiting Freepers touch the hearts and dispell all darkness and gloom in your Holy Name. Let those hands also convey our own hearts' love. Let there be joy this Christmas season despite challenges. Let there be peace, despite surrounding chaos and discord. Let there be Christmas miracles for our purple-hearted heroes. According to thy blessed Will, let it be done.

Amen

Please Lord, protect and guide our soldiers as they go about protecting their country and families. We pray daily for their safety and ask you to keep them in the palm of your hand as you watch over them.

I have another prayer request.

When I was waiting for Sgt. Gerald Santos to return from physical therapy, I met the two others in the room. It turns out that one of them was on the Chinook that was shot down on Nov. 2. He was headed "home" for two weeks of R&R. Ricardo Diaz has serious head injuries and was Medivac'd to a Minnesota VA Hospital that specializes in brain injuries. He doesn't remember anything about the accident and only remembers waking up in Walter Reed.

The day he was supposed to leave, he had to return as there was something wrong with the plane. Now you can imagine (or maybe not) the feelings he was having, after being shot down and then delayed on a flight due to mechanical problems. I offered to pray with him, for a safe journey, and for healing at this new facility, and he gladly accepted.

Please keep this wonderful guy in your prayers. His family is in Oklahoma, so once again he will be where there are no friends or family to visit. I am praying that he gets a better social worker there than he did at Walter Reed, and that he gets one who will go to the Red Cross office and get clothes and other items for him. I have already mailed some prepaid phonecards, that I was given, to him.

Godspeed, Ric Diaz.

Thank you, Dear Lord, for protecting our 4th Infantry Division troops, for leading them to Saddam Hussein, for delivering Saddam Hussein into the hands of Coalition forces without a shot being fired.

Thank you, God, for your light which shines in our Soldiers, and please continue to protect our troops and civilians in Iraq, that your light may continue to encourage and inspire us, that we may rise to be worthy of You and the sacrifices of our troops, and to inspire and encourage the Iraqi people, and all your children around the world.

Thank you, God. Thank you, God. Thank you, God.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

I figured this was a great time to post Thanksgiving to God for listening to our prayers. I pray that the capture of Sadaam will see the lessening of attacks on our forces and the strengthening of confidence in Democracy by Iraqis.

I'll say a prayer for patriciaruth. I can remember her doing SO much for our Military while they were in Afganistan. She sent silk scarves, videos, and had us write email letters to them. I was very impressed.

Dear Lord, please protect TexKat's son, Khevin, as he serves his nation in Kuwait. Please guard and protect our troops, Coalition allies, and civilian workers on the roads in Kuwait, Iraq and across the ME. Help them remain vigilant in these days after the US troops captured Saddam Hussein, further angering other enemies of freedom. Comfort and bring complete healing to the four Soldiers wounded in attacks on their two convoys in Kuwait, and thank you, God, for protecting all of these Soldiers from serious injury. Praying, as always, for the defeat of Al Qaeda and their Taliban and co-terrorist allies. Thy will be done. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thanks RC and everyone. I just missed another phone call from my son. Darnit, I failed to unforward my phone when I returned to my desk. He did leave a message stating that there were a couple of shootings in Kuwait last night and that he would call me back tomorrow when he returns from his trip.

Prayers for your precious son, and that you're able to get his next phone call. I remember when my son was serving in Saudi; how my heart would sink when I heard his voice on my machine, realizing I missed a call.
