And people actually buy into this crap?

This can be solved very easily. Boycott movies. Just do not go. I stopped going and it hasn't changed my life at all.

I replaced movies with reading. "Shut up and Sing" comes to mind as my next piece of reading material. Will follow that with Hannity's book and maybe something from Goldberg.

We saw Master and Commander over the week-end, and although I dislike Russell Crowe, the movie was great. Very historically accurate. Found out it was based on a series of books, and now I am purchasing some of them for my hubby for Christmas, who is a tall ship/old war ship fanatic.

Movies aren't evil. People are.

Having said that, I would never see a Tim Robbins/Sean Penn etc etc movie. That's too much for me. But we rarely go to movies anyway.

I'm with you. I've even stopped watching them on TV these days. These people truly disgust me...and many continue to freely donate to their selfishness by contributing to their salaries. No longer will I support their mansions and $400 purses, and 15 sports cars.
