Motherboard and main board are both still used, and there are "daughter" boards/cards as well.
I think the people who can't handle the names of things just shouldn't use them. Leave life to the rest of us who aren't afraid of living.

What living American was ever a slave? It's entirely possible that some immigrants from east Africa, now naturalised citizens, have either owned or been slaves.
