There must have been insider information here...the Iraqis must have been turned in by someone. To take that many in an attempted ambush...our guys had to know something ahead of time.

What I think is HILARIOUS is that yesterday there were 46 killed and 8 captured.

Today its just 54 killed. Snicker Snicker.

I just hate it that ANY of our boys and girls have lost life or limb on the altar of PC and playing nicey-nice with an enemy that already demonstrated itself to be among the most brutal and cruel in the world when they were in power.

The canister formerly known as Grapeshot? A long and storied history all the way back to the Civil War, only better? Like the Gatling Gun, a great idea that's stood the test of time.

Meanwhile, the jihadists are still using Pickett's Charge tactics.

And I reckoned during the course of that fight, we were -- I kept thinking about my wife and my son. And I kept communicating with my team that I had with me and I was looking at the rest of the squad that was there and making sure they were doing their job. They were all well. They were doing an excellent job as far as returning fire and everything. And I, you know, was saying a little bit of prayer while I was in the middle of it. I was talking to the man upstairs, saying, 'God, please keep us safe,' and putting some rounds down the range. ...

Thanks, Kat. We were missing this most important perspective.

110 kilometers (60 miles)

110Km is not 60 miles. It is 68.354 miles.

If this was a regular delivery of money

There is speculation that they may need money badly to pay off terrorists. It would be just so sad to be holed up with a few billion $$ of the old currency with Saddam's fat face on it when they changed over to new currency. I expect that the military intelligence people are keeping a pretty close eye on anyone that wants to exchange very large quantities of notes.

HEck, they watch US if we try to do anything with a large amount of cash, don't know why they'd be any different in Iraq. I hadn't thought of this as being one of the advantages of changing the money though. This is actually possibly more important than getting Saddam off the notes.

Well, earlier someone was speculating that our guys set it up, you know, leaked the info "We're coming through here with lots of new Iraqi money" to trick the Fedayeen into revealing themselves.

Correct me if I am wrong. The Spaniards and Japanese are staying. The only one that has turn-tailed and run is the U.N.

Not necessarily, I heard the convoy had Abrams tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles--which makes it kind of one sided against small arms which can't hurt these vehicles, and marginal RPGs which don't tend to hurt them much.
