Probably... I stopped going to Starbucks because coffee is a little cheaper in Borders Books. But bless their heart with their 4.00 cappucino, have a little coffee with your milk foam ya know?

Although prices of the Colombian coffee have yet to be set for stores in the United States, Mr. Silva said he expected them to be lower than Starbucks'.

Wishful thinking, I'll wager. Here we have Bridgehead, a small chain of fair-trade coffee shops, and their prices are noticeably higher than a comparable cup of coffee at Second Cup or Starbucks.

Also, there is something about their coffee's taste that strikes me as funny. I don't know if my sense of ethics goes as far as drinking bad coffee. (On the other hand, the best espresso I've had comes from a local hippie-vegetarian-organic cafe not far from here, so maybe there is something to this after all.)

And on top of that, it just doesn't taste good, certainly not that good. Just what the hell are people thinking?

I am thinkin' I just love Starbucks cafe mocha! I grab a Grande one whenever possible actually!

A local Dallas magazine did a blind-taste survey of all the places you could get a cup of coffee. The winner--with them and with me--your local 7-11 store.

Bring your own 24-32 ounce cup and it cost 65 cents. I guarantee that Starbucks isn't any better.

Someone told me that Starbucks roasts Costco's Kirkland brand of coffee. It tastes the same if you ask me, kind of strong. Costs alot less.

That magazine was right. 7-11 and this little bodega next to where I work are the best. When I lived in Arizona, I went to the Circle K. Besides you meet nicer people half the time, instead of worn out college students.I'm a worn out college student, and hate dealing with my own kind..lol

Perhaps if they did a little more research they might find that one of the reasons Starbucks has been successful is the "social" aspect of their stores. People seem to like that, and are willing to pay the big bucks for it.

Notice how a pound isn't 16 ounces anymore? A pound is now 10 ouces... how did they weave that magic?

Dunkin Donuts sells their coffee by the pound. One pound bag in my area usually goes for $6.99 and I am willing to pay that price for an excellent cup of coffee. They are currently running their frequent special of two pounds for $9.99. I pays to stock up.

Dunkin Donuts is WEAK. That stale Folgers crappola that my Grandma drinks is better than Dunkin' Donuts. The only thing I taste on the rare occasion I drink their coffee is styrofoam.
