In the case of Benito Mussolini, the very first thing he did was to become Italy's most widely-read journalist. Then organize a band of thugs, then announce that he was taking over the government by force. Which is approximately what Saddam Hussain would do, if the U.S. pulled its troops out of Iraq. And al Jazera would be right there, cheering him on and intimidating the opposition to tyrrany.

Journalism is politics, not education. Any Tom, Dick, or Harry can be a journalist under the First Amendment, there are no barriers to entry except the propaganda from those who would exclude American conservatives from being considered such.
