A claim that New York Sen. Hillary Clinton ventured beyond Baghdad's security zone on Friday to visit U.S. troops in the combat zone is being challenged by Fox News Channel military reporter Oliver North. North, who returned from Iraq on Thursday, was filling in for nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity when the topic of Sen. Clinton's Iraq trip came up.
"The media tried like the dickens to make the Hillary visit look like . . . a very courageous thing," the former Marine colonel told a caller.
Noting the claim by Sen. Clinton's press aide that she was "on a visit with a military division outside the security zone," North insisted, "Let me tell you something. Nobody, nobody, nobody, goes around Baghdad outside, quote, the security perimeter."
Based on the dubious account of her spokeswoman, Sen. Clinton was being credited with an act of courage by the European press, whose reporters drew comparisons with President Bush.
Saturday's London Times noted, for instance, "Unlike Bush, who never left the heavily secured military compound at Baghdad International Airport or the company of Americans during his two and a half hour visit, Senator Clinton headed out to meet troops, aid workers and Iraqi politicians."
Agence France Press also gave Clinton credit for the supposedly bold gesture, saying, "Unlike the US president, who never left the main military camp at Baghdad airport during his two-and-a-half hour stay, Clinton left the heavily fortified complex around the palace to go and visit troops."

"Huck Fillary
It is a Clinton therefore it lies."
Her 'bravery' story has as much truth as her 'secret' vist to Walter Reed. No witnesses were around, so just lie about it!
"I don't know how those billing records ended up there!"
"I'm sorry, I just can't recall!"
"I don't think my husband ... (you fill in the blank)!"
She and Bubba should be swinging from ropes, on the balcony of the WH! They should be joined with their the other Traitors and Liars, as well as with their willing accomplices in the 'fifth estate'!

This is really getting interesting. We have Senator Hillary placing herself continously in a competitive position with the President. I am reading these one-up-you's, as desperation. I am thinking that there is a point in GW's poll numbers that she wants him to reach before she feels she can successfully compete against him in 2004. She must have felt that this Iraq trip would have been a big boost for her and of course got blindsided by the Prez himself. Now she is attempting to say she is braver than GW, this is a hoot!!!

But see the liberal "libal" press adores the traitors=clintons, they are the saviors of the world therefore no harm can ever come to them save the final judgement.
So we have to listen to their lies and debunk them as they come, Thanks to people Like Ollie North and the like her "truths" are shown but only we listen: not the kool-aid drinking press.

It takes real effort not to cut loose with a string of language unbecoming of a lady when I read about this piece of treasonous trash.
I know what you mean. Oh, do I know what you mean.

Here is the accompaning text to one of the pictures with Hitlery. Noticed it says 2nd Airborne Division. There is no 2nd Airborne Division, at least not in our US Forces
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites) (R) and Senator Jack Reed (C) get a tour by Lt. Col. Brian Mennes through the base of the 2nd battalion, 2nd Airborne Division in Baghdad, November 28, 2003. Clinton and Reed spent a day touring Baghdad, meeting with military personnel, top officials of the occupation administration and aid groups. (Pool/Reuters)
And it's not the only time 2nd Airborne Division was mentioned

Where's the video, Hillary? I know that you, being the pol that you are, did not go outside the perimeter without cameras to record your act of bravery. Just show us the video, please.

Hey Kat - would you expect anything less of the Hildebeast when Bush upstaged her one day before? Even though Bush's visit was in the planning stages back in October, she probably feels that he did it to upstage her - because that kind of thinking is how she lives her entire life.

With all due respect Peach, you and I and everybody else here know that DU checks this site out and vularities abounding do not effect our cause to the positive - although they may feel quite liberating :=)

Thanks for reminding us that Senator Reed was also on that trip. Wonder if Reed was also brave and courageous enought to venture outside the "security zone." Strange that we don't hear about him on the trip. We just see pictures of his bored face.

Another "me too" news from the press on behave of the other Clinton.
|
President Clinton casts a wary glance along with his aides as he steps off a unmarked C-120 Gulfstream aircraft upon arrival at an air base in Islamabad, Pakistan, in an atmosphere of high security in this March 25, 2000, file photo. Historically, the White House has often kept details close to the vest on risky travel by presidents, and sprung surprise last-minute trips on their entourage, like President Bush's covert trip to Iraq on Thanksgiving.
