President Bush secretly landed an hour ago and is currently eating Thanksgiving dinner at my undisclosed location. Anticipate a press release after he takes off.

It's fun to read this thread and realize some early posters owe you a big apology, ChiefKujo!
Thanks for putting up with us!!
And God Bless you and your loved ones for all you do for us. I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving.

"MY APOLOGIES TO YOU"
Very cool. You're one of many Freepers who at first trashed a Freeper serving in theatre for posting this and one of very few who realized that apologies were due.
Very cool.

The grown-ups are in charge now, squantos.
LOL.

This will be one favorite picture for me. Look at the expressions on those faces.
Yes, and look at the two extremely tall "soldiers" next to him, with the telephone wires behind their ears.
I had no idea the Secret Service guys were so BIG. My gosh, they're towering over everybody. :D

Bush goes AWAOL . . . to perform a random act of kindness on thankgsgiving. *Applause*

If they suggest that, than the error was in my writing.
I was simply saying that operational security was, in all probability, compromised. President Bush has his security compromised every time he goes to a campaign rally. I understand, as you do, that security can never be absolute. If we wanted absolute security, the President would govern from Cheyenne Mountain, not the White House.
I am fully cognizant of the risks that Bush took going to Baghdad. The trip was a ballsy move. He didn't have to do this, but he did. And he did this because he cares about the men.
Politically, this helps him. The image of a President with the troops on Thanksgiving Day in a Combat Zone is one that helps our cause in the war and, in a smaller sense, helps in the political campaign.
Finally, as to Presidents in combat zones; Lincoln went to a Fort (McNair?) south of DC. At the time, there was a raid on by Jeb Stuart's cavalry. Lincoln had a few minie balls went by him before the General in Command, who I believe was Abner Doubleday, told him, "Get down, you damn fool!"
Be Seeing You,
Chris

I never said that ck didn't say where he was... I said he talked about the President after the president was already landed in baghdad.
To: Timesink
But again, once the President landed in Baghdad, it became knowledge he was there. I am sorry everyone here keeps missing that point.

I was just reading over the early comments to your Posting !
You're the man! You scooped them all!
I'll have to read on to see if any of the wise-gals&girls apologized for beating you up and wanting your thread pulled!
-Great Job-
To: ChadGore
Those looks superb in my comments page... I will have to make this the last post so they stay in there awhile.

I wonder why we have not heard any comments concerning the President's visit with the troops in Iraq from the scum and vermin, oops, I mean the the traitor/treason Democrat low life that are running for President! Did you get to see how "The Living Devil Personified", Hillary Clinton was received by our troops? Coldly, coldly, coldly. Fact is, our troops know that she and her miserable Democrat husband Bill Clinton and the entire Democrat Party are guilty of causing 911 and the deaths of thousands of innocent American citizens! The "WITCH" Hillary is a traitor and should be treated as such!
To: madison10
To you, and the other eight or ten idiots who read my post #2, when the poster was being very coy and secretive about the story, I have already SEVERAL TIMES acknowledged the reality of his post. Why don't you all just grow up and quit wasting bandwidth complaining. You obviously have NOT read the whole thread. I've explained it several times, so just chill. Sheeesh!!

I think Hillary should be questioned upon her return. "Where is Saddam Hussein? Where is Osama bin Laden? Why haven't you found them yet?"

I have truly enjoyed watching this thread (not because of all of the posts to you) in the realization that some people haven't check out posting times. Hope you are finding that just as amusing.
To: ChiefKujo

We've got a lot of happy troops here.
We'd all be interested in hearing more details, Chief, of your experiences in Iraq, including but not limited to the Thanksgiving dinner.
To: ican'tbelieveit
My amusement with this thread has grown into thinly veiled amazement at how lazy and stupid some Freepers are. Of course, I have to take into consideration that this thread originated on Thanksgiving, a day associated with imbibing in copious amounts of tryptophan-laced foodstuffs, along with unrealistic amounts of adult beverages. Combine this with testerone-oriented sports programs, and hence the stupidity.

:) Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. Why look at posting times when you were so far up in the thread and appeared to be the first at the "reply" trough?
