That is so cool, thanks for giving FR another scoop. Have not had the time to read all. Did we have a Frepeer in Baghdad who broke this?

Just saw a story on ABC News...a British Airways plane passed Air Force One on the way to Bahgdad. The BA pilot radioed "Is that Air Force One?". The pilot of AF1 radioed back "Nope, it's a Gulfstream". Now, a Gulfstream is a small jet, while AF1 is a 747. The BA pilot, probably surmizing that something was up, replied..."Oh."
Love that British gift of understatement.....

I think it shows concern and respect for the military and all members therein who are currently away from family and friends for our and my benefit. This man is the kind of President the military is safe in from the constant attack of left wing liberal neo communists in the state dept and in the pentagon.
I wonder if he knows about Adam West.
Happy thanksgiving one and all.

Thank God we have a President that has more nerve than you. Not sure why you felt that comment was necessary, but you are forgiven.

This is a real morale-booster for the troops! To know the CIC is willing to put his own hide into the combat zone. I agree.

Freepers go where only eagle dare
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

This news is very uplifting, for everyone. I'm glad our president went to Iraq today and stood with the troops, as he is the Commander-in-Chief. Good move, Mr. President! :)

''He's got to win in '04. No one else can prosecute this war like he can,'' said Army Capt. John Morrison from Butler County, Pa. Said PFC1 Kyle Crittenden of Humboldt County, Calif.: ''I'm proud to serve in his Army.''
That's a keeper ... Profound truth alert!

'Philip Taubman, Washington bureau chief of the New York Times, said that 'in this day and age there should have been a way to take more reporters. Yeah, right.
According to the detailed report by Pool Reporter Mike Allen, which is also posted on Drudge's website:
"When the plane took off, 13 of the 14 seats in the press cabin were filled: writers from The Associated Press, Reuters and Bloomberg, plus the newspaper pooler; photographers from AP, Reuters, AFP, Time and Newsweek; and a correspondent, producer and two-person crew from Fox."
Sounds to me that what Taubman is really bitching about is not the number of reporters that were let in on it, but the fact that he wasn't one of them.

Does anyone suppose that Bremer's trip to Washington a short while back may have had something to do with this? I'd say it's very likely. Sounds like this one has been planned for weeks. The level of secrecy the Administration managed to keep over this was astounding. Future presidents will be studying this visit in great detail.
