Glad it helped- I have run across some nasty viruses, trojans, and spyware when I know for a fact we have only visited mainstream, presumably safe sites.

I work on the theory that anything in a system which has internet access may be lost, and keep copies of files I really need to preserve on floppies or CDs.

I've had to do bare-metal recoveries- fdisk & format C: /s to get the system back up on occassion, and even though my digital modem is supposed to be a router and offers a hardware-level firewall, sometimes garbage gets through.
