My day started out at 8:30am with a phone call...Thanksgiving is cancelled. The sister-in-law, to whom's house we were going this year, got word that her father had died (they had issues and were NOT close). She wanted to keep cooking, but didn't want anybody to come. Soooo....we checked the cupboards, I got sent to the store, only Kmart was open, to get Tricuits and Wheat Thins so Libbi (where I stay every year) could have snacks for her boys. Then the sister-in-law's sons called and said they were coming in the afternoon and bringing Thanksgiving dinner. So we had dinner after all.

We did that with Christmas dinner one year...

A sister-in-law was stranded at home in Casa Grande and couldn't make it to Phoenix for dinner. So the three families there just packed it all up and took it to them.

You know how it is, that's just one of the things families (at least our kind) do for each other.

It's a good thing...I'm glad it worked out for you and Libbi.
