The enemy must be encouraged to surrender- not to fight on LOL!
I don't know any more about what happened in that chaotic compound than you do.
We both know there were 800 guards and only four of them were charged with this conduct.

Fine. Take the Iraqi side if you want to.I take the side of the US military, which has a vested interest in good order and discipline.
But it remains to be seen that NO ONE. Not a single soul has accused her of beating the Iraqi prisoner unprovoked.
Aside from the Staff Judge Advocate and her commanding officer, of course.

YOU took sides against the enemy and willingly told fibs to do it. Why yes, I have taken sides against the enemy.
But -- granting that you made a typo -- it is not "supporting the enemy" to be against American guards beating prisoners.
In saying it was unprovoked, I am content to follow the findings of the American military authorities, who -- having looked into the facts of the case -- evidently believe as I do.
Are you really going to tell us that the American military authorities who brought this case against those four guards are "taking the side of the enemy?"
Where did you say you were, again?

But isn't every Iraqi suspect of attacking US Soldiers. Isn't every Iraqi a possible threat. Besides I believe the Article said, she said, she wanted to teach him how to treat women. How does that become self defense.

Where did you say you were, again?I think he said he was deep in the Huertgen Forest or something like that.

Two things, we should not be putting reservists into this sort of situation, and no, I don't believe that beating prisoners of war is a just way to treat them.
Why do I not condone the beatings of POW's?
Because I can't condone beating theirs, while condemning them if they beat ours.
It's rough being the good guy, but I don't see a choice other than being the "good guys" in this situation.

What she said, according to testimony by another recruit, was that the beatings were done to "teach the prisoner a lesson on how to treat women."

It's late or very early, depending on your perspective. GMT+3, so techically it Thanksgiving.
Be thankful you're not here spouting your stuff.
