If I remember correctly, after the election he said he never made that statement. But when ex-wife Kim Basinger verified it he then said that since Pres. Bush was "selected and not elected" his statement didn't apply.

Now he's saying that he never made that pledge but if he did it didn't count and besides what he said wasn't really what he said. Sure Alec, I believe you (major sarcasm!!)
