U Michigan final consumer sentiment 93.7 in Nov Wednesday November 26, 10:04 am ET

 NEW YORK, Nov 26 (Reuters) - The University of Michigan's
final November index of consumer sentiment rose to 93.7 from
October's final reading of 89.6, according to a report released
on Wednesday and seen by market sources.
 Economists polled by Reuters had expected a median reading
of 94.0, up from the preliminary reading of 93.5 at mid-month.

 THE SURVEY: The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment
index, which is released directly to subscribers, is made up
each month with calls to about 500 households. The preliminary
survey consists of about 300 responses while the final survey
is rounded out at month's end with another 200 responses.

Love how Reuters could not bear to say headline the fact that consumer confidence shot up over 4 points in one month. Sure they had to report the news, but to put the raw number that means nothing to the average joe is funny. If there was any decline, the headline would read how cosumer confidence sunk.

Your tin foil is showing. Click the keywords, compare reuters past headlines for this econ report - they're generally flat.
