In the eyes of most of us, it is not desirable for the government to purposely grow the country to half a billion or more. If anyone is being statist, it is the politicians and bureaucrats who are forcing this policy on us against our will.

Are politicians forcing people to move here? Or is it that individuals have within themselves, as our forebears did, a desire to share in the opportunities of liberty?

No I'm not being duped, I grew up in a can-do country. We are capable of doing a heck of a lot better job of securing these borders than we are now.

Sir, if you think the government can prevent people from crossing thousands of miles of borders you have been duped. Government isn't that capable. Sorry.

A little interior enforcement alone would send a signal to would be illegals around the world their presence is not wanted.

How many hundreds, thousands, or tens of thousands of immigrants would have to be rounded up for folks to think they have bad odds (of getting caught) when millions are coming in? Do you think the guy in Honduras is going to hear about the raid on Walmart night moppers? Do you think he's watching Ted Koppel?

From 1925-1965 we had a lull in mass immigration to allow for those new to the country to assimilate, and it worked wonderfully. After 35 years and 35 million new immigrants, it's time for another one.

Don't ask me, talk to border patrol and INS agents, they all say if the government would give them the resources and let do their jobs they could slow illegal immigration to a trickle. Not stop it completely, I agree that's probably not possible, but cut it drastically.

Gotta go, Happy Thanksgiving.

Sorry, but it can be done. Government just doesn't have the desire yet. They will change.

With todays technology, it makes it even easier to protect our borders and sovereignty. Besides, these millions are not crossing in the middle of nowhere. Even illegals are not that stupid. They generally cross in known areas, near the border cities.

It would be relatively easy to put a stop to this government approved invasion.

As the anger and concern steadily builds among the American people, it will change, bet the rent.

This crisis now extends far beyond the borders of Texas, Cal, Arizona, etc. The rest of the country is now getting a taste of this never ending flood of people that enter illegally.....

I stated in the late 1980s that this invasion of millions would eventually become the largest, most dangerous crises facing this nation, and it's coming true. The anger grows along with the number of people that suddenly appear. It's a time bomb, and it will eventually go off.
