Cartoon of naked Sharon devouring infant wins top U.K. prize

A cartoon of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon eating the head of a Palestinian baby against the backdrop of a burning Palestinian city has won first prize in the British Political Cartoon Society's annual competition.

There were 35 entries in the Cartoon of the Year competition, sponsored by the British Independent newspaper, from some of the country's leading cartoonists.

Dave Brown's winning cartoon was published in the

Independent a few months ago, when it was claimed that it was inspired by a Goya painting.

In the cartoon, Sharon says: "What's wrong? Have you never seen a politician kissing a baby?" The background shows Apache attack helicopters sending missiles from the cockpit with the message "Vote Likud" - the prime minister's party.

In his acceptance speech, Brown thanked the Israeli Embassy for its angry reaction to the cartoon, which he said had contributed greatly to its publicity.

I wonder how they would feel if they were shown a cartoon of Palestinians eating a pizza of Jewish teenagers blown up in a pizza parlor. Or as others have indicated, show a bunch of Frenchies and Germies on top of gassed Jews having a delightful snack of Jew blood sausage and drinking "blood" red wine.

And another thing. Yesterday on FR a really great analogy was posted and these people need to do a reality check. In essence there are 500 million Arabs who want to exterminate 5 Million Jews, and the Urinepeens don't see much wrong it. That was the other point that was made. The article compared the Arab land to a football field and the Jewish land to the size of matchbox, and the Arabs want more. Through hard work the Jews built cities and agriculture on empty land. The Arabs had hundreds of years to do the same. Why didn't THEY do it?
