WASHINGTON -- President Bush sees the Medicare drug bill as a way to score points on the Democrats' traditional social-welfare turf. But Democrats see new political opportunities in the legislation as well: a target for ramping up attacks on Republicans as beholden to big business.

Looks like the "old stereotype" is valid once again. As we know, any party which is antibusiness, is anti-economic growth and anti-jobs. Lieberman and Rubin had warned their fellow Democrats. Bring da MFs on!

Although I'm happy that Bush now has eliminated the tactical advantage the 'Rats usually have concerning prescription drug benefits - this "victory" and the 'Rat response to voters, reminds me of a joke I heard in the Ukraine about the "New Russians" - mobsters who had pretty much stolen Russian wealth during their transition to capitalism:
New Russian #1: "Hey, look at my new belt! I got it over at that store for $700."
New Russian #2: "You idiot!! You coulda got it across the street for $1200!"
