A Republican Senate Judiciary Committee staff member has been suspended with pay after he admitted that he improperly gained access to "secure committee computers," Fox News Channel reports.
Whether the staffer is the person who leaked numerous memos in which Democrats on the committee plotted to turn toe current filibuster of judicial nominees for political advantage was not stated.
An angry Judiciary Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch denounced the staffer's action, saying that senators expect their computers to be secure and calling the staffer's action "entirely unacceptable."

I just saw this on Special Report. Where is the focus on what is IN the memos? That is very important.

If this person did, in fact, leak that infamous memo, I'd say he is a hero.

i couldn't agree more, especially in this case. leaking for its own sake is not a good thing, but there is a qualitative test that needs to be applied. in this case, i think the test is met.

Well, y'know, the staffer's action was unacceptable. You'll get no argument from me on that, if this guy was hacking into servers and stealing memos.
Now, then, Senator Hatch, let's start getting the word out that the contents of the memos showing what the Democrats were/are doing are even more unacceptable!

And THIS will be the TOP story of the entire weekend.....if not the month.
To: dep
Looks like a great setup by the Democrats. They have the moral highground now regarding leaked memos, and the Republicans look like saps. Now the issue either dies, or the Democrats have the advantage in future discussions. Hatch should have fired the man, not just suspended him.

Being the collegial party that they are, I'm sure the Dems would suspend one of their staffers if he did the same.

If this is the staffer that leaked the memos, he should be awarded the Congressional Medal of Freedom. His good works exposed the Dem Party for what they really are...
RATS!

Here we go. Another field day ( or Thanksgiving holiday ) for the media. This is going to get ugly folks.
To: dep
No problem....character doesn't matter to the Dems anyway.
To: dep
Stupid.
1. Don't get caught.
2. Never never never admit something like that which would give the dems the high ground.
