"I think W is a much better man than Nixon."

Limbaugh's gone out of his way to stress that he does not think Bush is like Nixon as a person or with regards to foreign policy (on this, he compares Bush favorably with Reagan)...however, the seeming love for a domestic spending bonanza is a trait common to both Bush and Nixon!!

I'm not entirely thrilled with the COST of this bill, but then again, what we GOT in exchange for the price paid was a beachhead on the road to privatization.

Southack has explained that in a lot of detail, and the fact that Kennedy and other left-wingers blasted this bill big time is an indication that this bill is not as bad as some fear. Imperfect, yes. We paid a high price for the beachhead.

But I'd submit that as Medicare and Social Security eventually are privatized, this bill will be seen as the first step.
