SEA Ordinace to be called either SEIZE or Land Confiscation

The question becomes should we allow this Land Confiscation to take place just like Castro does in Cuba where I came from. Or do we need to stand together in one voice stating No Toleration for Land Confiscation just like what has been happening with the Sawgrass Rebellion down in Souht Florida near the Everglades at the 8.5 square mile area. All that I ask is that y'all send e-mails to the different County Commissioners to maintain pressure and make sure they vote no to this Land Confiscation because that it truly is and nothing else. I for one will continue my e-mail campaign as I witnesses when my parents had their property confiscated in Cuba by the Totalitarian Regime. If one governmental entity confiscates property in one area, it could effect other areas. What they are doing is nothing short of socialism/communism. In Cuba one cannot e-mail their officials otherwise they can be incarcerated. Plus few if any have any access to the internet. At least in this country we still have that right and opportunity. I ask you to join me in this noble cause. Are we going to allow tyranny to reign supreme by doing nothing? In turn if any of you have some type of issue involving land confiscation, you give us the e-mail addresses of your local elected officials and we will e-mail them as well. All of us are in this together. We have to be vigilant. I believe the time is now. Your e-mails and faxes to the local Brevard County Commisioners would be of immense help and would be appreciated not just by me, but by the Citizens and landowners who are being affected. Thanks, Al Gutierrez, Titusville Florida, Concerned Citizen

Heh.

I don't know what's going on in Brevard County, but it sounds like you or someone you know has found themselves on the wrong end of the Environmental Industrial Complex.

All that I am saying is that if the ordinance passes, the coercive force of the county government will continue and in this Land Confiscation that they are discussing will continue to put more restrictions on the rights of property owners. Landowners as I have said before are the true conservationists. If this ordinance were voluntary and not mandatory then it would be an entirely different matter. If it were voluntary it would be an incentive based type more like a contract than an ordinance itself. That way those developers and/or landowners who wished to build such subdivisions would have the incentives built into a voluntary ordinance. The libertarian approach is the right of people and /or entities to entering into a voluntary contract or the right to contract with each other. Certainly, if this ordinance were voluntary I am sure there would be a niche market for having these type of subdivisions built. Thus the free market would be able to reign supreme. I strongly prefer the free market anytime over any government derived coercion such as what the County Commission is trying to pass. The free market can do it much more efficiently than government. A voluntary approached ordinance would be in essence a contract where if one party such as a developer agrees to its stipulations he the developer will derive incentives. That is the soul of what libertarianism is about, no government corecion over property rights provided they do not infringe on others. To me it is just that simple.
