Great upgrades, as always. The sidebar color looks nice. And the spellchecker is a godsend.

The only (minor) change I'd suggest would be to add a way to the spellchecker for the user to type in a word that isn't in the "alternate words" pulldown list. A bad typo might cause the spellchecker to guess wrong about what the user was trying to type, and thus give "suggestions" none of which are what the writer was aiming for. Right now, there's no way to type the desired correction without going back to the original text and hunting down the offending word. It'd be great if there were a way to "override" the pulldown list and just type a new word right there.

This might seem trivial for short posts which can be easily corrected "by hand", but Freepers who sometimes write very long posts (and we know who we are, *cough*) would find it *extremely* handy to be able to fix things "on the spot" in the spellcheck page as they are found instead of having to make notes about which 1-N typos need to be tweaked manually and then wading back through the 10-paragraph "raw" post hunting them down one by one.

PS: Hey, why isn't "Freeper" in the FR spellcheck dictionary? :-) It doesn't like "spellcheck" either, LOL.

PPS: Hmm, and running this post through the spellchecker lost all of of my "<p>" tags, too, I had to reinsert them manually.

Hey John, you should automatically calculate the # of posts per day on the personal page.

What would be way kewl would be a pull down menu on the tag lines so a poster's frequently used tag lines could be switched back and forth without retyping

Yeah, that would be pretty cool. So would being able to do html in FReepmail. I'm not complaining, mind you. I love it, John. You made my day.

.
