Wall Street was betting yesterday that the revised numbers will show the economy grew even more - not by 7.2 percent, but by as much as 7.6 percent.

Revised number is 8.2 percent!!!!!

LOL! But you are right... it isn't there pathetic lines of reasoning that get me... it's when they lie and no one calls them on it... I usually have to turn the channel.

So, thanks for accomodating me.

It's fine to say the bill is bad in some moral sense (because it expands government, adds to the deficit, has too much pork, etc.),

That is one of my problems with the Medicare bill. Candidate Bush promised smaller government, fiscal control, etc. But he has been weak on these things.

You may not always like the results, but the character of the man should please you (I hope).

I do like his character. I think Mr. Bush is a good man (such a refreshing change) and I respect much of what he has done.

There are things, like I mentioned, that I strongly disagree with. There are times, such as when he was smiling and slapping Kennedy on the back (I could hear the pork oinking all the way from Washington, when I get a bad feeling that he's wandered too close to being like his dad, who was also a good man but terrible at opposing the Dems and defending the principles of conservatism.

I usually have to turn the channel.

Liberal news channels made men into surfers -- and some women too!

least one of the selling points that the Republicans used to sell these tax cuts was that they were temporary.

Yep, that's the way I remember it, that and the gradual implementation. I don't know if we "outdumbed" them but I have to admit, I have certain ideals about politics and get irritated when the welfare of the nation is gambled for political points.

But that is one of the reasons why I grew to become furious and disgusted with the DemoRats. that's their way of life. Republicans usually try to do the right thing even if they disappoint me from time to time with a lack of will.

"They have not lead. We will."

What a great reminder quote!

Good idea! How 'bout a new campaign slogan.

They did not lead. We did.

Evidently, senior Democrats believe they are permitted to say anything they like about the president - but it's illegitimate for Republicans to fire back on the president's behalf. It's such a pathetic line of argument that it's hard to believe they mean it.

Hits the nail on the head.
