I don't know much about Chester. I have been through there several times. They have a big prison there but it seems like a nice little town.

From Chester to the south along Il. hwy. 3 is duck hunting country.

Oh yea, the prison is menard SP.Alot of people work there. Also the nut house,Gayce(sp) is there. Would you like to hear about the time the local cops picked up a hitch hicker,only to be overthrown and hancuffed to a tree by an inmate of this prison?Or, how about the MJ farm that was allowed to prosper,under the nose of the local shariff,that is untill the feds finaly shut it down.Shall we talk about gambling?I could go on and on but we gotta stop somewhere.

Menard Prison (the prison - plus Chester Mental Health) - Duck Hunting? Hmmm... more like Turkey and Deer. Everyday in the part I live in you have to watch for them on the road. One day coming across the Chester bridge the hubby and saw at least 10 point trophy buck crossing the main road right between the cemetary and the new extension of Menard. Right by the "T" coming from the bridge at Rt 3. He was huge!
