Church attendance has dwindled right back to pre-9/11 totals. While this may not be good enough for you to quantify the effects of 9-11, it is for me.

You called my statement a "amazing" generalization but you put nothing forward to explain why it isn't an amazing generalization. So please explain yourself. I'd love to hear your viewpoint.

There's a simple reason for that, and it's very much akin to the reason why only a tiny percentage (<5%) of people who go forward to "make a decision" at a Billy Graham crusade are still in church 5 years later.
