Having been to each of these cities I'd say the descriptions are fairly accurate, particularly Seattle.

There's an old saying in NY advertising circles:

"If it's not New York, it's Bridgeport."

Seems to be a liberal bias, given the constant ranting about 'culture.' Culture is on TV, CDs, the internet, and in books, and it doesn't matter where you live. What about the cultural relevance of Live Theater? Well, yeah, if you're a lesbian.

This article is garbage. I lived in Miami for 11 years and it was like paradise...heaven on earth. Absolutely beautiful and one of the funnest places I've ever been.

About the only consolation to all this is that Seattle still has one of the highest suicide rates in the nation.

I see absolutely nothing witty about this little comment. Are we supposed to do the Northwest a favor and toss ourselves into Elliot Bay when our latte's aren't quite hot enough?

Should have been a "Hundred Worst" list, with all of them tied.

They forgot Houston, or were scared to go there and check it out for themselves.

indianapolis should be on the list just for its idiotic 95% love affair with its sports teams ... every week the colts are threatened with a tv blackout because we can't sell out a 64,000 seat pillow case, then the papers and channels 6,8 and 13 make a big deal about it and the populace cries and wrings its collective hands, then a corporate sugar daddy steps in and buys the remaining tix .. in general i'm tired of almost every athlete who makes a zillion dollars a year and then complains of working conditions, etc... blah-blah-blah

My GPS got bad lost in the residential area around Seattle. The traffic was a push over. Glare menacingly and they clear the road. They have an abundance of beautiful Rhododendron
