A quick update on our middle son Jeff. His R&R was way too short. He arrived back in Mosul day before yesterday, but the good thing is that he only has about 3 months left, hopefully he will be home by the first part of March. So once again Mrs ladtx and I will be on "worry alert" until he gets back on Texas soil again. A military family is always on the go it seems. Mrs ladtx just returned from helping our oldest and his family move from Elsworth AFB, SD to Pensacola NAS, FL. She did 9 states in 4 days and 4 of them twice. I joined the convoy when it passed through the DFW Metroplex and made the trip to Pensacola with them. What a trip, 2 kids, one two years old and the other 6 weeks, plus two animals, a real traveling zoo. But, it was worth it to see Leila and Ashley together.

I know you all will be counting the days until the first of March. We'll be praying for Jeff and your family in the meantime.

Happy to hear you got to spend some time with your beautiful grandaughter's! I can just imagine how happy a scene that was. :)

We ask Lord, that You guide the leaders of our great country in their hour of decision. The burden that has been placed on their shoulders is overwhelming. We ask that with Your infinite wisdom You guide them gently to the right decisions.

Please give us the strength, Lord, to get through each difficult and devastating day that faces each of us and our country. Protect and guide our Military that are now being called to duty, strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your (and Mrs. ladtx') moving trip with Brian and family may have been hectic, but we know you wouldn't have wanted to miss it. :)
