Why should the government regulate what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home? Why is this man in jail? Doesn't libertarian philosophy mandate that he be released?

Nothing sexual about that.... it's all those tree-lined boulevards! Germans like marching in the shade! ;-)

Website for cannibals?

his victim was a willing participant who ate part of his own body before Mr Meiwes stabbed him to death and stored his remains in a freezer
This calls for a whole new sub-category of
Darwin Awards.

Does he die before he consumes himself? Does he consume himself before he dies? Does he consume himself with his last bite, does his mouth eat itself with that last bite and does he then vanish?

The Massachusettes Supreme Court is outraged and willing to fly to Germany to create a New Right To Eat Each Other for the German Constitution.
(Their business cards say: Have Robes. Create Rights.)

A German accused of killing and eating a man he met on a website for cannibals has expressed regret for his actions.
"German cooking is not that great to begin with, but have you ever tried to find a decent RECIPE for this???"

Curiously, cannibals will not eat clowns. Apparently, they taste funny.

Mr Meiwes told investigators he took Mr Brandes back to his home, where Mr Brandes agreed to have his penis cut off, which Mr Meiwes then flambeed and served up to eat together."Weiner" Schnitzel?

It's really weird, I admit, but if some guy wants to die and have some other guy eat his remains, let him.

Mr Meiwes, from Rotenburg Well that certainly explains it. One too many visits to the Medieval torture museum.
The website just doesn't do it justice.
