I had just left Lenscrafters in San Bernardino and was enjoying my new bifocals and a nice cold Coke when something happened that made me spew my coke all over my dashboard. KFWB broadcast a MUSLIM CALL TO PRAYER complete with the Imam wailing away and some local Muslim cleric explaining thet it was a call to prayer for Muslims. Guy then goes into the standard spiel about how Islam is the "most tolerant of religions" and respects other religions and Jesus and we all worship the same God etc etc. And we all know what a crock of lies that is.
This happened just before 5:00 pm today and it sounded like they've been doing it all through Ramadan.
To each his own but I went to their contact page (link below and above) and shotgunned everyone on it with my feelings about them hawking Islam (Ramadan or no) and enlightened them with the TRUTH about Islam and I encourage everyone who feels the same to do the same. Just click below and fire away!

Wherever this thread may have begun, I entered the debate at a point where the issue of censoring Islam was starting to take hold.
I do however appreciate the synopsis.
There are a number of individuals on the thread advocating that the practice of Islam not be allowed in the US, and that its status as a religion be somehow removed, and that is clearly wrong ay many levels.
But even if your interpretation of individual rights includes the ability to personally persecute people for exercising their individual, constitutionally protected freedoms, then you are arguing that their way, and thus their religious teachings are correct, and ours are wrong.
The moment we sanction any religion, or set in place the idea that it is our right to define the personal religious beliefs of some by refusing to recognize their religion, we begin emulating their religious intolerance, and we try to enter into the realm of religious fanaticism ourselves.
The moment we do that, we have effectively surrendered the West to their way of life.

Muhammed had a vison of what? an angel choking him? this is how they think you get people to obey.
There might be wonderful people that are practicing a religion not of differences but one that is about Violence and Death, we never should endorse it.
They say Muhammed was illerate as most Muslims recite from memory not by reading, maybe that is the problem.

And the Old Testament has as many or more violent passages in it, too.

Me again )
As I said earlier no one else is blowing up buildings, or themselves and killing innocent people in the name of there G-D.
As far as my knowledge goes "ALLAH" is there interpetation of a G-d that endorses killing in his name so they may reap the rewards of virgins in Heaven and for females I do not know what there reward is for killing themselves.

I think Islam should be confined to there Mosque's not on any American Radio Station.
Would you really want to be walking to work and hear a loud speaker calling Muslims to prayer?
My reply: Well then I guess we would have to silence all Church bells in this country wouldn't we? I hear the church bells every hour of the Christian Church a few streets away. If the Muslim Call to Prayer is bothersome to you then what about the churchbells ringing in the Christian Churches? Are those okay, are they not the same thing as the Muslim call to prayer?

Oh, I see. billbears knows better than the Pope on what Christianity is. Uh-huh.As a matter of fact, I never claimed to. But he knows no more than I do. And I don't need another to tell (read interpret for) me what God's Word says when it is written down for all to see. Matter of fact, the Bible doesn't say I have or need that middle man either. I do know what God's Word says and I know that it doesn't mention Islam as equal to Christianity.
I also know what the Word says about those that mislead His children and I know that Allah is a false god that has no connection to Jehovah, God Almighty. But you go ahead CJ, believe whatever the heck you want to believe. You don't have to answer to me or anyone else. You have to answer only to God. And if you think that 'a cult of death' has the same god as God Almighty there's no use arguing with you.

On previous posts we covered Church Bells and I think most americans agree that for thousand of years we have listened to the beautiful sounds of church bells.
You are in the minority if you think anyone wants to listen to a loud speaker in Arabic calling Muslims to prayer, that will not happen.

I just Freeped the creep and called him the traitor that he is. After just reading on another thread that two of our soldiers were beaten to death today by islamo-terrorists in Baghdad, I had all I could do to restrain myself from saying what I really wanted to. I hope he rots in hell.

"Of course your America will be so wonderful to live in."My America IS wonderful to live in, and I am not letting the likes of you ruin it.
Benjamin Franklin once commented on the fact that those willing to give up a bit of freedom in the name of safety deserved neither...he saw you coming.

Ah, more collectivist nonsense worthy of Stalinism or National Socialism. "One of your people did something terrible to one of our people, and therefore you are all guilty!"
To: Luis Gonzalez
You are no different than the worst Jihadist. You and your Islamic-supporting ilk keep hurling invective like that. Completely out of bounds, given that these jihadists have done much more than speak their minds. Rather, they have destroyed innocent lives. Please refrain.

Whether a majority wishes it to happen or not, there is that pesky First Amendment.
If you do not like hearing it on the radio, turn the radio off.

I personally have no problem with people choosing to be Christian, Jewish, Buddhists or Moonies. I don't even have a problem with those who choose to sacrifice small furry critters to the Immortal Cthulhu.
When people belonging to a particular religion start targeting people for death just because they don't belong, that gets my attention. When I observe the situation to be globally widespread, that gets my attention even more

This is predominantly a Christian nation, based on Judeo-Christian principles. If you don't want to hear church bells then go join your friends in the Middle East.
