My uncle is royalty. He's "King of the Rednecks". I suppose that makes me court-jester or something.

Us Rednecks are still around, we just speak three or four languages now, so the accent is no longer a dead giveaway. People use to ask where I was from and I'd say "Memphis" and then they'd ask "So where's your accent?" to which I'd respond, "I went to an exorcist." Damn yankees. ; )

Seriously, they are here and there, and "real man" is a more apt term than redneck I suppose since they aren't confined to the South.
