ok, where are the real men? I have had it with girly men. Rule number one, I don't want a guy who spends more time in front of the mirror than me. Rule number two, keep your hands of my hair care products and body lotions. I used to think firefighters were macho, but they to have become victims of this feminized culture. If I see another calender with body waxed firemen I think I'm gonna puke. Please men, all that is required is soap, water, toothbrush and dental floss. Stay out of the cosmetic department.

It is written in Scripture that the "effeminate shall not inherit the kingdom of heaven." Which should tell you right there where the likes of Metrosexual Howard Dean would lead the country if given the opportunity.
To: Cobra64
Ahhh, That's Howard Dean.

I'm willing to move with the times. A drop of Hoppes Number Nine behind each ear drives the ladies nuts...

LOL!
Reminds me of two bubbas (me and my brother) in the bookstore about 10 years ago
checking out the new calendars.
I'll never forget my brother saying "Hey, check out this bikini calendar...
you CAN'T count the ribs on that babe!"
(as oppossed to the 2% bodyfat bikini models that had been in vogue for TOO long!)

There's still some rednecks left ;^)
Seriously, I consider the push of men's vanity products to be opening Pandora's Box. I believe many men are far worse then women if they take that tack and get into the personal beauty thing. I work in a business that among other things, supplies garments to businesses. You would not believe how these guys fuss over their shirts.

The elite of the Roman Empire used to be pampered like this; removing all their body hair, oiling their bodies with sweet-smelling perfume, spending the day at the public baths, chasing after their young male lovers, etc.
It was that way until the Empire was overrun by hairy, smelly, macho barbarians anyway. The pampered elite didn't want to oppose the invaders lest they get a broken fingernail or something.
There is a lesson there.

Wild-haired revolutionaries like Che Guevara have been replaced by clean-cut metrosexual icons like soccer star David Beckham
Not clean-cut in the literal sense...

Metrosexuality (search) -- a word coined by British journalist and author Mark
Simpson in 1994 -- refers to urban, heterosexual men who wax, exfoliate and perform
other grooming rituals some consider strictly feminine.
I won't be suprised to see a picture of The French Army, circa 1940
next to "metrosexuality" in the dictionary.
(I'm not knocking the French who did fight well and on the right side in WWII.)

Part of the ongoing attempt to emasculate Western men. No thanks, I'll keep my body hair and testosterone. I shower and use deodorant. If more is required, the woman ain't worth impressing.

Not exactly looking for a slob either. I understand that letftist don't use soap and water.

It's the pop culture. Look at the images of men as portrayed by the popular media. Maculine men appear boorish stupid or pathological morons. What do you expect from homosexual art culture?

I'll keep my body hair and testosterone good for you. You men need to organize and take back masculinity from the girly men who have taken over.
