We just got back from seeing it with my 9 yo, and it wasn't good. i had been looking forward to it, based strictly on the previews hadn't read anything about it. my husband dozed off and was heard to snore, after first loudly declaring that Baldwin's career was clearly IN THE TOILET ; )

It was kind of a re-hash of Mike Myers skits. One minute he's talking like Babs, the next he's a Scot, the next he's an Englishman.

It had a few enjoyable moments, but overall I'd say we tolerated it rather than enjoyed it. We being myself and two girls, aged 5 and 9.

If you're just going so you can see a good movie, don't bother. If you got kiddies who are dying to see it? Well, go ahead and bother.

The best movie of all time with my kids so far? Finding Nemo. They were spellbound from beginning to end. So was I, actually.

i had NO idea alec baldwin was in it.

I didn't either, hence the initial cringe when his mug was displayed, full screen.

One GREAT movie which includes Alec Baldwin that I just can't seem to boycott is The Edge.

Anthony Hopkins was the centerpiece in that flick, but Alec Baldwin's part seems like it was likely written just for him. And he was terrific, probably because he wasn't acting.

I didn't know that anti-American Ed Asner was Santa

Actually that is the PERFECT part for HIM. The BENEFACTOR to all those who want SOMETHING FOR NOTHING, with ONLY HE deciding who is WORTHY of receiving the 'handouts'.

One that my kids dragged me to, which i didn't expect to enjoy, but ended up totally loving was The Kid, with Spencer Breslin, the boy from CITH, and Bruce Willis. i had expected to snooze !

Finding Nemo rules! We already own it on DVD, we love all the Disney kids movies. I think we own just about every one.

I just took my kids to see this. I rarely go to movies. If I had any idea this moron was in it I surely would not have paid money to see this.

All though it was funny in some spots, as usual they threw in adult humor in too many spots. For instance they show the Cat outside with a garden hoe and he says something like "A dirty ho". I just sat there bewildered at why that had to be thrown in to a Dr. Seuss story.

That and about a dozen other instances of not needed stupidity force me to give it a thumbs down. Wait for the dvd.

BTW. like your miniker.

I believe he was a natrual for this role is because he is emotionally stunted. Most liberals are and do well in extreme roles - silly, overly dramatic or totally childish.

I haven't seen the movie, but from what I've heard, it's NOT FOR CHILDREN. Lots of sexual innuendo....
Just the kind of trash I would expect Hollywood, and Baldwin to put out there....... in the guise of "family entertainment".
