I never said there weren't lots of Lenin's USEFUL IDIOTS in those marches.

Maybe I was a useful idiot by going to that demonstration at age 15. Don't feel too bad about it though. The war was wrong. Can you state succinctly what was accomplished in that war that was worth the killing of 58000 of our young men along with millions of Vietnamese and the spending of hundreds of billions of dollars?

As far as the war in Iraq goes, I thought the demonstrators were nuts. But the lack of WMD evidence is definitely delaying the conclusive proof of this.

BTW don't forget to back up your previous statements about "the buses, the loudspeaker systems, the stages etc". I'll agree that the Russians bought some ads in the NYT.

Concentration camps; the assassination of political enemies, millions dead under communist rule, should I go on?

Many years of US bombs dropping and no Vietnamese went anywhere. Pull the US Army out and all of a sudden everyone grabs anything that can float and gets the hell out of the country- thousands dying in the process.

Thank the North Vietnamese government each time you pray for the soul of a drowned boat person, hippie.

A one minute google search produced dozens of hits. This was the first one, it's a start. If you're not convinced, I'll heap on a few dozen more references for you.

To understand what really happened we should consider the statements of Col. Stanislav Lunev, a high-ranking Russian defector to the United States. Lunev worked for the GRU, which is the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Soviet (now Russian) General Staff. According to Lunev, the GRU believed itself responsible for North Vietnam's final victory. In Lunev's book, "Through the Eyes of the Enemy," he says that his GRU instructors and superiors would not directly claim credit, but "they strongly implied that the GRU was responsible for the Vietnamese success."

How was this success supposedly achieved?

According to Lunev, the GRU and KGB "helped to fund just about every antiwar movement and organization in America and abroad." This funding, said Lunev, was provided "via undercover operatives or front organizations." More amazing still, Lunev claims that the GRU and KGB "had a larger budget for antiwar propaganda in the United States than it did for economic and military support of the Vietnamese."

In other words, Russia's antiwar propaganda campaign against the American effort in Vietnam had cost the Kremlin over $1 billion. And look how well it worked. As Lunev recounts in his book, "it was a hugely successful campaign and well worth the cost. The antiwar sentiment created an incredible momentum that greatly weakened the U.S. military."

In other words, U.S. military victories were negated by communist propaganda victories in the United States. While the communists were being slaughtered in futile offensive attacks against Vietnam, the American people were being systematically convinced that the war was hopeless. Allied victories were overshadowed by intensive GRU-KGB propaganda. Indochina 25 Years Later

The millions of Asians slaughtered by commnunism after YOUR KIND forced the US out of SE Asia curse your naivety.

Today, YOUR KIND wants to force us out of Iraq, so that Saddam can once again begin filling the mass graves, torture centers, and human shredders.
