Flyer Alive After 17 Years

An Israel Air Force navigator missing for 17 years is alive in an isolated Iranian jail, according to a secret report. The family of Lt-Col Ron Arad believed he had died after ejecting from his stricken Phantom fighter-bomber over Lebanon in 1986.
Now they have taken court action to force the Israeli Government to reveal findings of the report that Arad is alive.
They hope he will be released from Iran next month as part of a prisoner exchange being worked out between Israel and Lebanon's Hizbollah militia.

If Iran is keeping an Israeli airman as a prisoner of
war, that must mean that a state of
war exists between Iran and Israel.

Get shot down over Lebanon, end up in jail in Iran.
It's all part of the same war. Think what the world would be like if the Israelis had not taken out the Osirak reactor back 20 years ago.
Who's next, Syria or Iran?
There has got to be a way to reconstitute an Iraqi Armed Forces purged of Baathists and Saddamites. We could use the help.

International Law. It makes total sense (to them) for us to continue fighting wars where we adhere to one set of rules, and the enemy no rules at all.
