Ms. Behavin, don't worry about your orthopedic surgeon's bedside manner. Skill and good outcome are what are important. I'll be praying for you on December 10th.
Meanwhile, I just love what kayak posted yesterday, "Just remember that when you get to tomorrow, God will already be there."
Nite all!

With that look, I'd hate to be the object of his "displeasure"!

Great DOSE Mike! I just love the pictures of W in the pub. As for his taste in non-alcoholic beer, I believe he drinks a brand called Buckler or Buckner. I've never seen it but then I don't look for non-alcoholic beer much. I much prefer the loaded stuff. LOL!
I can't believe the energy bill didn't pass. Even Tom Daschle - who is totally shameless - is supporting it. Hmmmm.
And you are right about Laura...she is beautiful and extremely poised. I would imagine she gets a chuckle thinking of herself staying at Buckingham Palace with the Queen of England. She, just a little ole girl from Midland, Texas. I remember seeing her say that when W proposed he promised that they would have a very exciting life. She said she never dreamed it would be this exciting.
We have 6 inches of snow and our kids at a snow day from school - BEFORE Thanksgiving, no less! Global warming my arse!

Hope your knee is feeling better today-
As long as you TRUST your dr., don't worry about the bedside manner. YOu can always talk back to him and blame it on the drugs. :-)

Just what I was thinking about the Queen.
I have never seen her looked so friendly, relaxed and human than when she is with our President.
What a charmer he is! And it's all genuine.

I agree with Darlin'. Your dressed up photos of Laura's outfits are amazing and they are indeed, much better suited for her. The rounded neckline just doesn't do her justice.

There's about as much point to non-alcoholic beer as there is to no-fat half and half.

Speaking of Laura's beauty, which just gets better and better, my sister always used to say that First Ladies always get better looking while President's looks go downhill.
She was thinking about Lady Bird, Betty Ford, Rosaly, etc.
We know of a couple of exceptions to that rule: the unmentionable one and our President, who looks great ... maybe just a bit older.

Fabulous job, Mike! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Laura does, indeed, seem to get more lovely by the day .... I'm so glad today's young people have her to look up to as a role model! I think it will make quite a difference in the future.

I think the reason the Queen likes W is that they are both actually down to earth people. I know that is a bit hard to imagine with the Queen but she keeps Corgis and follows horse racing as hobbies. She likes animals obviously. The Bushes have dogs as pets but you can be certain they aren't there at the White House for photo ops like poor Buddy and Socks were. I think they both could sense the genuineness of each other and hence what appears to be mutual admiration in these pics. It would not surprise me to see a visit by the Queen next year perhaps even to Crawford although the election campaign might prevent that until the second term.

I think the President actually looks more handsome as he's looking a little older. He's certainly come by his additional face "character" honestly. But his face completely relaxes and lights up when he sees Laura and smiles.
As for the unmentionable ones. . . well I just won't mention anything. Maybe they'll just go away.

I think we will see her influence, and the influence of a STRONG marriage to look up to, long into the future.
Unlike the unmentionable ones (above post) who we will just
not mention but continue to hope they just disappear . . .

I got a solicitation letter from Bill Clinton a couple of days ago. I couldn't believe it. How could he not know how I feel about him? (ha)
Anyway, I was a bad person and send a reply in their postage paid envelope. I wanted to say, if I send twenty bucks would you take your wife and go away, but I just said, sorry, I'm voting for Bush.
