Tough girl. I think she'll be just fine. It's rare to find non-whiners like this anymore. I agree she's tough, but I think you will find plenty of non-whiner amputees in Walter-Reed Army Hospital these days too.

Alot less rare among that age group than you might think. The boomers sure opened a Pandora's box in the 60's when they adopted the counterculture attitude in their youthful days. Little did they know it would come back to bite them on the arse in their post-Clinton old age when the new generation rebelled against the self-absorbed, feel-sorry-for-myself, victim complex typical of Beezulbubba and his peers.
At 13, she also may not be the child of some 60's ex-hippie, which certainly would have helped her case.
