He was beheaded while alive and it was taped. The tape was given to his mother. He was offered to be allowed to live if he gave up his cross. He not only refused to give it up, but helped several other soldiers with him to stand firm for Christ.

Anyone who is killed by chechen scum is a hero to begin with, to do it after being offered the chance to live if you join them and become muslim, at age 19, is remarkable.
