I'm supposed to be in bed by now, but stupid CSpan is showing idjit dems instead of the Bush/Blair press conference I'm waiting for!
Arrgghhh!!
My favorites are #1-when Tony, Claire, Laura and GW were all turned around, ready to go into 10 Downing Street, with their arms are braced in one way or the other upon another. Just, I dunno, real and reassuring.
#2-The queen, animatedly speaking with our President, Laura and Philip in the backdrop. Never have I seen the Queen of England look so beautiful, and never have I seen exactly how gracious and wonderful her smile can be.
#3-timeout's picture of Laura and the President leaving 10 Downing Street. Just sensational.
I remember well how hillary could not go deep enough to dress appropriately when in England serving us as First Lady (always hard to place that title, even in retrospect, upon that horror of a human being who held up the 'Bush Knew' headline in the well of our senate, what a disgrace. She had not even helped her own daughter to dress appropriately for the nation she was visiting. Such crass defiance. Immature and cold.
Laura has dressed appropriately, quietly permitting the hosts to shine, and gracefully demonstrating truly genteel manners.
Her gown at the State Dinner was so elegant and rich in color without broadcasting glitz or 'look at me' crap. What I noticed was how flattering dangle earrings are to this wonderful woman. And her necklace that night-WOW!
But the pics of the queen at the reciprocal dinner-can't get over um! Not used to seeing her without a hate, with such a warm smile and such a sparkle in her eyes. I think she may be fun!
And as for the chef who prepared a luncheon for Laura---in that pic you posted---Laura looks like Nancy Reagan in profile. Weird.
Just a great big thanks for a great dose!!!!! XXXOOO
