The President had a busy day in London today, with a visit with Laura to Westminster Abbey, and a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, a meeting at 10 Downing Street with Tony and Cherie Blair, a joint press conference with the two strongest leaders in the world, and a visit to a London school for a Shakespearian production by the children for the First Ladies, and a tour of the Faberge items at the Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace.
There are more than a hundred photos out there today, and even with culling a bit, I will be posting many!
Enjoy your (massive) Daily Dose of Dubya!!

A million (or a hundred thousand LOL) thanks for these gorgeous pictures.
I'd like to see a picture of that Brit columnist and/or HIS mate who described our First Lady Laura as "frumpy." (He musta seen a pic of ole crusty and thought THAT was the president's wife.)

Yeah, and half of those who showed up were shipped in from other places.
Bet the networks won't say that, though.....

Fabulous pictures ~~ lots of work on your part. Thank you so much for bringing us this long, lovely edition of the Dose.
In a couple of those pictures during the press conference, you can see the concern for PM Blair in President Bush's eyes. At one point, it looks as if he is close to tears. Them two boys has got GUTS!

Mike called today, he has safely arrived in Kuwait and will be heading to Balad in the morning(his morning, middle of the night here)...he had a funny episode at BWI yesterday at the International terminal....it seems the Today Show was filming a segment...a Maryland NG General came over to Mike and asked him to do an interview with a blond chick(Mike's words) from the Today Show....Mike said, *no f---ing way,....sir!*....Isn't he polite, he remembered to say sir...LOL
I told him he should have given the interview so the audience would hear a patriotic comment instead of some disgruntled NGsmen....did anyone watch the show yesterday?

great pics, but tell me, does laura's dress/coat outfit look a little english, and almost by definition, a little dowdy? just asking. she looked great yesterday. this outfit was a bit disappointing.

You definitely deserve a break from posting.

I was so proud of our President, holding himself above the fray of the small-minded, so-called intelligensia. He is a noble, dedicated man, and makes others hang themselves in their own hateful comments.
Contrast him with any of the following: Daschle, Kennedy, Dean, Pelosi, Dukakis, anything Clinton, and that hateful reporter I would have had kicked out after that question about why so many people hate President Bush.
Well, you little snot-nosed piece of (pick you own word here), that's why so many people hate the press.
Rant over.

Despite a deep longing to, I've never been to Europe, never been to England ... only other country that's seen my face is Canada, but those photos stoke a burning desire to go to London and see the Abbey (and to Chawton to visit Jane Austen's home, and etc. etc. etc.)
The Abbey is gorgamous. The clerics attending the President look suitably impressed. ;-)

I see Laura's wearing a very British-looking tweed or plaid (can't tell exactly with my monitor). I like how her consultants choose designs that reflect the local traditions.
