The President had a busy day in London today, with a visit with Laura to Westminster Abbey, and a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, a meeting at 10 Downing Street with Tony and Cherie Blair, a joint press conference with the two strongest leaders in the world, and a visit to a London school for a Shakespearian production by the children for the First Ladies, and a tour of the Faberge items at the Queen's Gallery at Buckingham Palace.
There are more than a hundred photos out there today, and even with culling a bit, I will be posting many!
Enjoy your (massive) Daily Dose of Dubya!!

My humble thanks to you and your dear husband for your sharing him with the freedom forces and for his efforts to fight this war. God bless you both and give you ABUNDANT GRACE during the remainder of this separation, which I pray will be to you and Mike as Jacob's years working for Rachel, that seemed but a few days to him because of his love for her (and the grace God poured on them).

***I notice that she was not wearing gloves at the American ambassador's dinner, although the Queen was.***
Well, it's like this. The Ambassador's dinner was not white tie and tails, so it's not actually REALLY formal. It's permissible to wear long gloves to it as the Queen did. But it's mandatory to wear long white gloves to a formal, white tie and tails dinner. (At least if you're visiting the Queen of England.)
So Laura gets good marks.
Of course you realize that I've never even been in the same room with a man with white tie and tails. (Oh, wait a minute...once when I was a kid, my doctor showed up in my room wearing white tie and tails. I thought he was Fred Astaire.)

You know how reassuring it is that these two men PRAY together about what course to take?
God is at work, both here and abroad! Praise God for what he is doing through President Bush and Prime Minister Blair!

I continue to be amazed (tho I shouldn't--he's proven himself over and over) that the President stands by his decisions, his morals, his beliefs, no matter what others are saying. He won't let us down because of what some polls or other say. It was neat to see him support Tony Blair. And as I saw them speak about the latest terrorist attacks, I thought, "The terrorists are making a BIG mistake, thinking either of these two will back down." I think these continued attacks will give more and more support to the "good guys."

...he well may go down as one of the great Presidents.
"Great" is a subjective term. However, the presidency of George W. Bush is already one of the most important in history, already ranking in its impact on the nation and the world with those of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR, Truman and Reagan. The reasons why the presidencies of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR, and Reagan were of far-reaching importance are obvious. I add Truman because of his courageous use of the atom bomb, and his equally courageous firing of Gen. Douglas MacArthur, thereby reinforcing the principle that our military is subordinate to our elected Commander-in-Chief.

***btw, about Jacko and the trowel......LOL! Did you hear that his stats when he was booked today were 5'11" 120 pounds! Yikes he IS a scarecrow! ***
He is just a total FREAK!!! How he's gotten away with his inexcusable behavior for so long is just beyond me. He is completely out of touch with reality. IF he did these hideous things (which I think he probably did) I hope the people will have the courage to STAND UP against his influence and money so he never sees the light of day outside a jail cell again.

White tie last night, black tie tonight . . . what a TREAT! That Prince Phillip isn't too bad either--of course not nearly as handsome as our own George or Britain's Tony, but MUCH, MUCH better than Charles, who makes me squirm. EEEWWW

Although not beautiful in a classic movie-star sense, Laura Bush is really quite a beautiful woman in her way.

Yeah, the only thing missing is Barney and Spot.
(But we still have THOSE to look forward to upon their return!)

Is Laura's hair shorter than it has been? Still beautiful, of course. I've tried and tried to get mine that shade (artificially of course) but it just never works.

oWf, God Bless these good and decent men who are so courageously trying to defend us from terrorism. The weight of the world is on their shoulders. The horrendous abuse and venom they have to suffer makes me sick.
And thank you for posting the Daily Dose.

I'll be praying for your Mike, and all our service men and women over there. I wish I could be there with them. Since I can't, I wish there was some way I could tell them how much I love and support them. At least let your Mike know there are plenty of us out here who stand with them every moment of every day. We may not have microphones or column inches in newspapers like the media, but I believe we outnumber the naysayers.

Hmmmmmmmm......I think she IS beautiful in a movie star way. Fine features, sparkling eyes, fabulous smile......
But the only one whose opinion matters is her husband's, and I have a funny feeling that HE thinks she's the most gorgeous creature on earth!
